::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: My first brush with Scratch was around 2012 as the desktop application not connected to the Internet, when my father downloaded it to introduce me to programming. After a while, I nearly forgot about it. Then, 2 years later, the private school I was attending encouraged me to get an account on the Scratch website to earn "points" (a system the school put in place to encourage us to learn of our own free will). I made the account @GraceTU in 2014 as this school account. It's been nearly 4 years. In this time, I have released 56 projects, earned 68 followers, matured in body, mind, and faith, climbed from white belt to 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo, read hundreds of books, published a children's book myself, won a 24-hour hackathon alongside 2 friends, and cultivated digital and physical friendships. It's been a wild ride, with points at which I felt like I couldn't keep going. But I did. Now, after all this growth, I feel like it is time to give myself a new face here on Scratch. I am certainly a different person than I was 4 years ago, and I feel the need to reflect this in my username, profile, and general brand. Now that I have released this project, I will be found at the username [REDACTED]. To be clear, I am not leaving Scratch. In fact, I hope to be uploading projects MORE frequently, showcasing more of my traditional-style art and better programming. I hope to gain friends, followers, and comrades. But, more importantly, I hope to make a difference in people's lives. Even if I cause someone to smile once, it could be the one smile that they need to pull themself up from a pit of despair. I also hope I can inspire others to do the same. If we all try to bring joy to the people we interact with instead of anger or defensiveness, I believe we can change the world. I'll see you around!
