Makey Makey Math Races 1. Create a start and stop button. (We made giant pressure switches) 2. Hook up the start button to the left arrow key. 3. Hook up the stop button to the right arrow key. 4. Create a math obstacle course that gets the student moving. (For example, do √16 jumping jacks) 5. Students complete the obstacle course individually and record their time. 6. Use the resulting data to collect the mean, median, and mode.
Thanks to Jennifer Showalter for working with me on this Makey Makey invention challenge. We are both certified Makey Makey instructors.
