Here's a story: So I have been a nerd for a while, and in third grade I really wanted to go to Google Fiber with one of my nerd friends, (I'll call him Michael) Michael ended up not being able to go so I went alone with just my mom. Not knowing what to do, I grabbed a laptop and started looking at art on Google Images. It turned out that my teacher was there, and she told me about this website called "Scratch". I went on to the website and was instantly amazed. I got to see all the projects others made, and with a little help from my teacher, I was introduced to scratch. I went home and made my very first account, @FanceePlants99. (All of my projects are still shared there so go check out what 8-year-old me liked) Q. @Cherri- asked: What is your favorite thing about scratch? A. I think it's the community. Unlike Hour of Code and things like that, Scratch allows you to share and get critique for your coding, find others with similar interests, and much more. That's really what sets it apart. This isn't anything life-changing (hopefully it isn't) but my best advice is what I would give any other artist. There's no easy way out. There's no magic words to make you better. So many times people ask me to teach them how to draw and back out once they realize I'm not some kind of wizard mentor that can teach them the secret arts of illustration. My advice is that it won't be easy, but you gotta learn to be resourceful. You'd be surprised what you learn from. When talking to people, I often focus on their face and try to find all the aspects that make it unique. It doesn't matter what art you do, you have to put effort in.
