Here is the prologue of a joint story @Chickero and I are writing. It's written by her. Enjoy!
Prologue: Night whispered through the trees, consuming any trace of dusk that was left. It sprang across a starlit pool that lay as flat as glass, but not a drop shifted in the sacred waters. The moon shimmered in its own vast reflection, but there were not many to admire it. One ginger cat, flames dancing in his pelt, sat hunched by the edge of the pool, letting the chilled water touch his paws. The tom gave a slow, whispering sigh, eyes gazing unfocused at the waters below. Ripples immediately spread across the Moonpool, but the sigh had melted into the breeze, gone without trace. “I thought you might be here,” A silver–blue she-cat stepped carefully from the brambles behind her and gazed with empathy at the tom. He didn't look up. “Firestar,” she meowed quietly, “You are a legend. ThunderClan will never forget how you saved them. It was your destiny.” Firestar turned away. Suddenly, a third cat sprung into the clearing and turned to face them. “Bluestar, Firestar, I have brilliant news!” she exclaimed, “Cinderheart’s kits have been born!” Bluestar whipped her head around in astonishment, and Firestar looked on with a mixture of excitement and pride. “But, Ferncloud, who is the father?” Bluestar asked. “Why, Lionblaze of course!” Ferncloud replied, “He’s been chasing after Cinderheart for moons, and she has finally had his kits! Lionheart will be coming soon, he knows the kits' names.” A golden tom appeared, his long fur dragging burrs that clung like ants. “Good to see you both,” he meowed, nodding to Bluestar and Firestar, “I expect you would like news of the kits? Two toms and a she-kit. Ashkit , Sunkit and Mistykit. Even Jayfeather is proud of them!” There was a silence, as all four cats gazed at each other's reflections in the Moonpool. "They will have the power of the Three before them," murmured Bluestar at last, "One shall be an exceptional fighter, another a gifted hunter and the third a talented medicine cat. But they will each have something else; bravery, leadership and knowledge." "But why?" Ferncloud meowed in confusion, " Why have the Three passed on these qualities? It's not like Tigerstar is ever going to return again." Bluestar looked very deeply into the younger she-cat's eyes. "There are still ways in which a part of Tigerstar can come back. Even now, he has planted his spirit, the spirit of ambition, power and vengeance, into another cat." Lionheart slid to the ground in despair. "Is this battle against the darkness ever going to end?" he yowled to the sky. Heavy pawsteps thudded towards them. "Quick, everyone leave!" Bluestar hissed urgently,"Oh, and don't go telling Yellowfang about this. She'll only go and spoil it by telling them before they're ready!" Across the Moonpool, a grey tabby tom emerged, followed by two she-cats. His sightless blue eyes flitted like birds around the clearing. "It's the Half Moon, StarClan," he meowed into the blackness," I know you've been here."
