Boss Info: Location where fought: The Underworld - A world beyond our own, a place where forgotten, deleted, and sprites that have caused tears to the fabric of Scratch go after they die or get deleted. A place opposite of Orphia, a place where many sprites go after they die, this realm holds the most ruthless hackers and viruses. But eventually, even the most ruthless sprites go forgotten and fade away into an unknown residence of evil, where they haunt The Underworld for all eternity. How to reach the Underworld: Because there is a border of code preventing access to the Underworld, you have to get there via inter-dimensional portals. Unfortunately, the code current near the border is so powerful that many portals shut down or even despawn. After completing the Volcano boss, Scratch and Tera leave the cave, only for them to be greeted with a nasty surprise. Apparently, when they defeated the volcano boss, his death triggered a MASSIVE eruption that you have to escape from. However, little do you realize, the Cat Gang stole the Corrupted Heart and escaped, and they triggered a rock slide, blocking the exitway. After that escape sequence, you get into a battle at the Crystal Caves with the Cat Gang. They escape once again, but without the Corrupted Heart. Not realizing the power of the Corrupted Heart, Scratch realized the immense power of the Heart was so strong, it created a portal to escape the eruption. They then end up outside of Terabyte Town, where they meet with Alyssa again. She grants them the portal key. However, before you can enter the Portal Gauntlet, then you'll have to solve a riddle. It goes like this: I cannot be seen, but I can be found. Built between worlds, I create and I destroy. What am I? After solving the riddle, you'll be able to summon the portal via the Corrupted Staff and go to the Underworld. Fight mechanics: Normally the Abyssal Overlord is impervious to all attacks, so attacking the main body is IMPOSSIBLE. There is some hope, however. To destroy the main body, you first must destroy the forcefield surrounding it. That's not easy, because the Abyssal Overlord will attempt to attack you, and his attacks do MASSIVE damage if he's successful. He'll then try to summon six floating skulls which can attack, but don't do that much damage. They can take a lot of damage, however, so be careful. However, sometimes, you'll notice a weak spot above the glowing purple eyes. Hit the skulls with the weak spots, and congrats! You've taken 1/5 of the forcefield's HP! The forcefield has 3 phases, which you must endure before the forcefield is broken. 1st phase: SIMPLE! Just go an target the weak spots! 2nd Phase: This=Challenge. Now the forcefield will make duplicates of the weak spot. There's no way to tell which is which, so you're going to have to pay CLOSE attention. 3rd Phase: By far, the most difficult of them all. The duplicates start moving around, and you have to attack the correct one (THE REAL ONE.) Real fight: Not that easy. He has 4 phases, and they are going to be difficult to overcome. His base attacks are the following: He will try to use his Necro Bolt against you, which deals 45 damage, and takes 20 MP from the target. Chaos Storm: Targets all allies (AOE) for 65 damage that prevents healing for 3* turns. Doom Bolt: A revamped Necro Bolt for 100 damage that steals 100 MP from target. Spirit Link: No damage, but steals 150* MP and prevents use of "M.I.T Attacks" while effect is still active and transfers any regeneration on inflicted character to the boss. Lasts for 4 turns. It's pretty simple, but things are about to get more difficult... 2nd Phase: Now things are getting harder for you... This time, his attacks become more powerful, and he will start summoning up to 8* Void-X's from this phase onward which damage you if you hit them. New attacks?: Questionable Contrails: Related to Necro Bolt, but will inflict up to 2* random debuffs on Scratch and Tera. 3rd Phase: Now summons 6 Void-X's and creates 4 duplicates of himself who he will try to shuffle between. New attacks: Darkening Shield: No damage, but inflicts a damage-reflecting forcefield which reflects 50% of inflicted damage to target. Firewall: No damage, but gains shield on all allies of his that splits damage, depending on how much allies of his are on the battlefield. 4th Phase: Now he'll summon 8 Void-X's, create a reflecting forcefield (Weaker, but you have to destroy the 4 Void-Y's powering it). He'll also create 8 duplicates of himself. New attacks?: N/A Rewards: 8000 gold 6000 EXP The Credits (After leaving the Underworld) New Magic Attack (Obtained after leaving the Underworld): M.I.T Omega New locations: Realm of the Heavenly (Requires 100% Game completion AND M.I.T Omega - a place where you can talk to The Creator of Everything and get some post-game quests) Mirage Islands (Requires 100% completion of the Story Mode and the Eye of Onyx)
My idea to Scratch_RPG for what the final boss should look like in Scratch RPG. *=Increases per phase "Everything... and everyone, can be infected. There's no going back now." [FYI] Well, the Abyssal Overlord, who was once Kaj was messing around with Virus Cells, and one of the cells corrupted Kaj's brain, but it didn't stay there. The corruption spread throughout his body, corrupting his DNA, then his nerves, and then his whole body. The corrupted DNA then gave him a new form, and from that day on, many historians from Scratch referred to that day as the "Delta Incident". His cybergenetically modified body has given him new strengths and he strives to create a world of perfection, a world of his own. Personality: Prior to the Delta Incident, Kaj was a 'creative and adventurous soul who wanted find the meaning of life.' He was also kind and willing. The Delta Incident not only changed Kaj's appearance, but also his personality. Because of this, he has a malevolent disposition and is very detached from his sentiment. He shows no mercy for his victims. This might make sense, because the Abyssal Overlord was created from the Corrupted Heart, with no love or care whatsoever.
