press SPACE to start "transmission" Press A to switch between Rubber Duck and Full Sized. Press S to add a Mountain. Press P to Pulse Signal (simulate CW). Press C to Clear Cache (done automatically when space pressed). Press R to Rotate Receiving Antenna. % Received - The percentage of the power output from the Transmitter that actually made it to the Reciever. HF_POWER - The number of times +1 the HF signal can bounce off the Ion Sphere. Set to 0 for VHF or UHF (No Bouncing) Directional - Whether the signal is Directional. Drag the Red Box that appears to Aim the Signal. Tracer - The Radio Waves draw a "Tracer" (the colored lines) so you can analyze where they went. every time the wave bounces, the hue (color) slightly changes
Note: The % Received does not compute lots of inefficiencies, (in real life you don't get 100% efficiency with directional antennas lol). You cannot use this as a reliable signal strength calculator. this is just a Simulation. Another Note: the Transmitter is using a Rubber Duck, so it "appears to be shorter" than the full sized receiver antenna. This is not the case. the Transmitter antenna is the same length as the other one, just squished into a smaller space.
