Stoneheart's Prophecy: A white and dark grey tabby tom grunted as he walked through his twoleg owner’s door. I’m tired of being a kittypet, since that new kit is getting all of the attention and food. I can’t believe that I have to sneak out every night and catch my own food. It was his third night having to go out catching his own food. He creeped past an old Thunderpath, and looked towards a bush. He very ungracefully pounced on a mouse. He ate the mouse and walked on. He heard a noise, walked towards the noise, and caught a squirrel. He ate it and continued walking by the old Thunderpath. It was already getting light out, and the tom thought that he should be getting back. But he heard another noise. He turned around and saw a she-cat walk out of the bush and look at him. The tom quickly ran away. He turned around to see the she-cat still in the same spot, still looking at him. Kittypets. She thought to herself. “Leafstone!” “What is it Stoneheart? We need to go patrol soon!” Leafstone meowed and walked to Stoneheart. “I feel like the Twolegs live too close to the Lake Clans.” Stoneheart said while bending down to get a better view of the kittypet. “What made you think about that?” Leafstone said half listening, she was too busy stalking a blackbird. “Nevermind.” Stoneheart muttered. “Come on Stoneheart! We need to do the patrol now!” “Coming!” Stoneheart took one last glance at the kittypet and left. “Wait for me, Leafstone!” For some reason, I feel that it was good I did not tell Leafstone about the kittypet. “Stoneheart, Leafstone, you are late again.” sighed the ThunderClan deputy. “Sorry, Hollyclaw, Stoneheart was the one dragging me around.” Leafstone nugged her litter mate in the ribs. “OW! It’s not my fault that you took to long to catch one little baby bird!” Stoneheart yelled loud enough so Cloudwhisper, Leafstone’s crush, could hear. “Shhh!” yelled Leafstone, and pounced on Stoneheart. “Come on, stop acting like kits.” Cloudwhisper said sternly. Thanks to @Pusheenthecat111 for making the story with me.
Stoneheart was out leading a dawn hunting patrol. Most of the cats had gone off, so she thought they would just split up. She walked down the path towards a rushing stream. She heard a noise and turned around to face it, and she saw Jayflight, one of the WindClan cats, along the WindClan border. Followed by him were Whitepelt, Thornfeather, and Pebblewing, who was holding a squirrel tight in her jaws. “Stoneheart!” Jayflight called as he gave her a friendly nod. Stoneheart nodded in return. “Pebblewing? I have a question, if you have the time.” Stoneheart said. “Oh, sure!” Pebblewing dropped the squirrel. “I was wondering how Sprucepaw is doing.”. Stoneheart told Pebblewing. “Oh, she’s very good. Her paw is getting better! She can walk on it just fine, the only problem is running for her.” Pebblewing answered. Stoneheart nodded. Sprucepaw had sprained her paw, when she fell into the stream. “I’d better be getting back. Brightstar told me to come back before sunhigh.” Stoneheart said as she padded away. Back at the camp, there was a commotion in the medicine cats’ den. Stoneheart padded over. “Is he hurt?” “What happened?” “Great StarClan!” Stoneheart saw many cats crowded around Cloudstripe. He had deep scratches all over his pelt. “They’re getting infected.” Robinfeather said as she ran out of the den to get some fresh herbs. Heartbeats later she came back with a huge bundle of herbs in her mouth. “Here. Eat this one.” Robinfeather gave Cloudstripe a leaf. Robinfeather started to make some ointment for Cloudtail’s wounds. She rubbed the ointment almost all over him. “Don’t rub that off. The rest of you, try and leave him alone, he needs rest.” Robinfeather instructed. All of the cats nodded. After everyone had left, Stoneheart walked over to Cloudstripe. “What happened?” she asked. Cloudstripe hesitated for a heartbeat. “I… uh… fell in a… thornbush?” Cloudstripe nervously said. “No you didn’t. Tell me the truth. I’m your sister.” Stoneheart walked over and sat next to him. “Fine. I got in a fight with Bloodclaw.” Cloudstripe muttered. “What? ShadowClan deputy?!” Stoneheart gasped. “Don’t go off fighting with ShadowClan.” Stoneheart told Cloudstripe. “Huh? What? Fighting ShadowClan? Can we fight ShadowClan? We’re ready to fight for the clan!” Pinekit shouted with Rosekit behind her. “Oh, young kits, don’t go around looking for danger! Us warriors try to avoid danger.” Stoneheart told the kits. “Got it!” Rosekit said as she bounded out of the cave. “Look at Brightstar. Ever since she became leader, she’s seemed upset.” Stoneheart said to Cloudstripe. “Well, of course she’ll be upset, Oakstar was her mate before he died!” Cloudstripe said. “I’m going to go hunting to get her something to try and cheer her up.” Stoneheart got up. She padded out of the cave and walked over to Hollyclaw. “I’m going to go hunting to get Brightstar something.” Stoneheart mewed. Hollyclaw nodded. “Take Sparrowpaw. She needs the practice.” Hollyclaw told her. “Ok. Sparrowpaw! I’m taking you hunting!” Stoneheart called across the camp. Sparrowpaw looked up from the freshkill that she was eating. “Ok!” She called. Sparrowpaw padded over to Stoneheart and together they walked out of the camp. “You’re a good mentor, Stoneheart.” Sparrowpaw mewed. “Thank you, Sparrowpaw.” Stoneheart pounced on a squirrel and pinned it down with her paws. “Whoa, can you teach me to do that?” “Sure! So lower down into a hunting crouch. Then make a noise, and pretend to spring when the prey is looking, but don’t spring. The prey will try to get away, and you move to a different spot, more closer to they prey, finally you pounce on the prey for real.” When Stoneheart finished speaking, she looked up to see how Sparrowpaw was doing, but she was gone. “Sparrowpaw? Sparrowpaw!” Stoneheart yelled frustrated. I am such a bad mentor! I lost Sparrowpaw. But Sparrowpaw should of stayed with me! Stoneheart looked all around the camp, but she did not tell anyone what she was doing. Lots of cats asked her questions and told her to rest, because she looked so stressed. “Are you ok, Stoneheart?” “You have been working too hard have a rest.” “Where have you been?” “Have a rest!” “What have you been doing?” “Take a break!” “Do you need a poppy seed? Their great for resting!” “Why don’t you go to the stream to cool off?” Stoneheart could not say no to cooling off in the river. I’ve been looking around all day long, and I am so hot! I need to cool off. Some cats were wondering where Sparrowpaw was, and Stoneheart ducked her head in shame. The walk to the river felt like The Great Journey. The Great Journey was when all the Clans had to move from their homes, because the twolegs ruined their Clan territory, and the Clan cats had to find new homes. When Stoneheart finally got to the river, she dunked her whole body in. The cold, but refreshing water slipped under Stoneheart’s gray pelt. “You came to cool off too! This is going to be fun!”
