this took six hours and now my hand hurts

y'all read the title, this took a little over 6 hours to draw and now my hand hurts and i've lost my sanity press space to toggle the image (the first one is at a directly above angle, with flash on so you can see the patterns on the black rocks better, the second one is no flash from a slightly different angle, you can see the colors a bit better and it looks more like what it looks like in person) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT GO INTO FULLSCREEN anyways so i recently got into TTS/RTA and I've been wanting to draw Varian since he's my favorite character (although I'm pretty sure he's almost everyone's favorite, who can blame us though, he's a cinnamon roll nerd blessed with the beautiful voice of Jeremy Jordan (tbh the main reason I started watching this show was Jeremy Jordan, I am a simple theatre kid, if he's in a thing I will watch it)) and then I was listening to the Mean Girls soundtrack for the millionth time (im actually going over to Pepper's house soon to watch the movie since I've still never seen it despite it practically being a modern classic and also having been obsessed with the musical for two months) because its fetch and I love it and I was thinking about how a lot of lines from Revenge Party kinda fit Varian and thus this drawing was born. But seriously it took forever, I drew the little line details on the black rocks (which fun fact somehow didnt use up all my Sharpie's ink, what a miracle) and everything so that took forever. Anyways this took about 6 hours and now my hand hurts and my last bit of sanity is gone Varian is a pure cinnamon roll too good for this world who has done nothing wrong (except destroy his village on multiple occasions, accidently kill his own father, stole a national treasure, use the unwitting crown princess as an accomplice in stealing said national treasure, destroy said national treasure, unleash an army of automatons into a very populated kingdom, unleash a giant monstrous mutated version of his pet raccoon onto aforementioned kingdom, kidnapped the queen, attempted to murder said queen in attempt to blackmail aforementioned crown princess, and use giant robot in attempt to murder said princess.) but seriously though I really love Evil!Varian and I really hope we see more of him in S2 (and soon please, ok, this Vardaros stuff is boring me to death! GIVE ME MORE INFO ON THE MOONDROP) and I'm really hoping he gets a redemption arc and becomes a main character. he better not die though (my TTS pinterest board is literally called If Varian Dies I'm Suing Disney) ugh the hand looks rlly good in this drawing, probably the best hand I've ever drawn, but you cant really see it in these photos cri anyways im seeing hamilton tomorrow yay
