This project was specifically made to see just how detailed I could get with the scratch vector editor. This is my attempt to make the most complex and detailed art I could, but does not necessarily reflect my style. Press flag and wait. After the intro fades, press space to cycle through the airships. These are a collection of airships, each one designed to reflect a steampunk-esque world. In this projects, I also tried to push the limits of the scratch vector editor in order to get the desired effects. I hope you enjoy!
The Title is Inspired by The manual of aeronautics, which is a little companion book to the series leviathan. I based the names off of a few scources, including the book Leviathan, a handy website, and my own thoughts! I chose the music because I thought it went well with the whole "air" theme. Challenger II: I designed this one based of of a few images. I tried to create interesting shapes to form outlines, which I then colored in Occulus Ascender: I was inspired by the idea of a hot air balloon, and I used that as a reference. The baloons shape was the focus of my work there Windfang Mark I: The most fun (and challenging) part of this was creating the main wing/sail. I created the shapes and then used rectangles to create a shaded effect The Grim: I loved the idea of a zeppelin, and I made this to reflect one. I tried to make it seem a little intimidating if not scary.
