hey guys instead of giving you this boi's TRAGIC BACKSTORY (which has not been made yet and will most likely not be tragic,) I will tell you a tale of the creation of this kiddo fUN FACT YOU MOST PROBABLY DID NOT KNOW ABOUT ME- Back when I was a small child, I lived in the midwest. What did we have in the midwest? Corn. What did that mean? In the fall our school would take us to a corn maze (or an apple orchard, or a pumpkin farm. It varied from year to year.) Well me, being the strange kid I was, decided to try and creep out my friends with some story detailing this boyo. Now, I have no idea what prompted this. My younger imagination knew no bounds apparently. I mean, around the same time I had nightmares about coyotes that looked like arctic foxes and had antlers. I'm pretty sure they spoke as well. Huh maybe I should sketch those as well.... ANYWAY small me grabbed a notebook, probably a math one or something, and drew this guy. I then proceeded to tell my friends that this thing lived in the cornfield and ate people who got lost. Needless to say we forgot about this pretty soon after, but during a comic class I did like last year I remembered and found the original. After switching some stuff around, I decided to make this boy a villain in a zine I was making. The zine had a very poorly developed backstory in general, no dialogue, kinda messy, and only black and white. I am planning to make a larger comic with him having a larger role, but yeah.
Yo down here I am putting an actual description of this dude. So his body has a panther-like build, although it is quite bigger. People, (mainly one other villain in my story) can ride on him. His claws are very sharp, and retractable. His face is actually a mask. No one is quite sure how he can wear it since it is a mask a human would wear, and the build would be a lot different for a big cat. It looks wooden, but the feathery part seems to be mist. Most people have come to the conclusion that he probably is not actually a panther, and is some other creature. He does not talk directly, but can communicate through other things. I guess he kind of possesses them? idk He controls shadows, which tbh is something most of the villains in this world can do. He can basically move them around, so he can become invisible by just piling shadows onto himself. He can use this as a weapon, because he can use them for making a sort of smokescreen, as well as he is able to solidify the shadows to form like big hands, which he can use for fighting. That does take a lot of energy out of him, so he prefers to just have his human, who is an archer, (and I will hopefully make a bio on soon,) deal with the ranged attacks, he works on the close range stuff. wow i actually didn't realized I loved this guy this much, but almost an entire hour has gone by with me just writing this up. Hopefully I will do the others soon.
