This is the first in was is most likely going to be a series of short stories about Avivi and Nelly and the antique store they run! Welcome to short story number one! (Gray stuff in art is soot) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Nelly, I'm back!" Avivi called as she stepped out from the portal and back into the antique store she owned with her friend, Nelly. "Coming!" A tan and cream mutt appeared from the back and hurried towards the counter, a small first aid kit in her mouth. Avivi carefully put down the bag with the teacup before collasping against the counter, panting heavily. She waited until Nelly changed her hat out for Avivi's feather piece and pulled off the pearls on Avivi's paw before standing. "I got a teacup this time. It's from the 1950's. I managed to save it from a house that was about to lost in a fire." Avivi managed to get out before coughing a bit. "There was smoke." "I noticed." Nelly muttered as she gently slid Avivi's time-traveling silver watch off her paw and set it aside to be polished. She wrapped the slightly burned paw and then set to attend to her singed ear. Avivi grumbled and pulled away. "Yeah, yeah. First call that customer and tell her we just got a teacup in. From the 1950's." she barked. "I'll go clean it up a bit." Nelly sighed but stood and headed behind the counter and glanced at the teacup. "Sure Avivi. Sure."
