Instructions

Hogwarts for Muggles (and Wizards who can't use magic outside school) Basic info: Welcome to Hogwarts! Use your magic to succeed through some (limited) classes! By the way--- This project has volume! Make sure your volume is all the way down if you cannot make noise at this time! (Speaking out of experience, cough cough school) Turn your volume down for mandrakes when I eventually add sound to them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a basic project featuring classes from Harry Potter. Press space after all classes except when you learn "silencio." (restart the project in this case.) Also restart the program after you get sorted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to use: Now onto the instructions! ;) Click on the sorting hat and wait to get sorted. I did not make the symbols for the house crests. Restart the program after you are sorted. Transfiguration: Match- click on the match to fail. Click on the match and hold m to succeed. Toad- Press t to fail. Hold your mouse over the toad and press t to succeed. Hedgehog- Press h to fail. Press h and hold g to succeed. Rat- click on the rat to fail. While holding r, press the rat to succeed. Charms: Silencio- Press c whilst holding your mouse over the crow to succeed, just press c without your mouse touching to fail. Wingardium Leviosa- Hold up and press i to succeed and press I by itself to fail. Hold down and press e to make the feather float down again. Avis- Either x and press k or hold z and a and press k. (that one is hard) Press k to fail. Deletrius- click the shoe to fail. Hold s and press the shoe to succeed. Finestra- Press q while holding the mouse over the glass to succeed. Press q without touching the glass to fail. Sonorus- Press U to succeed. Press "9" to fail. I'm sorry the "whale" noises are not realistic at all. I repeat, at all. Herbology- Mandrakes- Ignore everything about sound until I actually find the attachable microphone so I can add sound. Press the earmuffs to dull the sound. Press the little pot to pull out the mandrake and hover the mandrake over the big one to move it. If you want to do it again, restart the project. Devil's Snare- Click on the pot. Hold 3 with your mouse over the pot and press L to succeed, just press L to fail. (You may have to succeed first and then fail for it to work. I don't know why.) I eventually memorized them, sorry its complicated... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------When to use:The classes get a little complicated, but after you learn you can use them with other people. For example, I had my brothers stand in front of the computer with a wand and told them the wand movement and incantation. I took the keyboard and mouse to a nearby table. If they did any part of the spell wrong, I would have them "fail" and if not, I would do it correctly for them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go into the project and zoom in on the Hogwarts windows from the herbology classroom to see little scenes! (you'd never guess how hard mini images are) They aren't great, but you can comment what you think they are or which are your favorites! Try guessing the book it is occurring in based off of the windows too! (And the key flaw that messes up the whole story! ;) ) You read this far! Wow! I will share a Harry Potter character set that you can take the Sprites from (as long as you give credit) since you survived this much reading! Hey, maybe I'll add some more classes if I get at least three requests. (Potions, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, for instance)
