As she skidded through the bramble tunnell into camp, Ripplefire padded up to her. He was a lean, orange and white tabby with piercing green eyes. "You okay?" he asked, concerned. "No - it's just - I have to talk to Jumpfire!" "Oh. He's over there, in the corner of camp, by the dock leaves." Leapheart meowed a thankyou and bounded over to Jumpire, feeling the warm, dewy grass give a satisfying springy feeling to her steps. As she got closer, Jumpfire looke up from his shrew (which was barely touched) at her and hissed: "Go away!" Leapheart stumbled back and headed back to the fresh-kill pile to grab a thrush, padding over to a small patch of longer grass near the bramble wall. She chewed thoughtfully on the thrush. Winning back Jumpfire's friendship (and perhaps his heart) was not going to be easy. Finishing her thrush, she stood up and shook out her fur, suddenly feeling exhausted. Her sudden burst of energy from earlier and worn off by now, and it had been a wearisome day. She began to pad towards the warriors den when she was stopped in a tracks by Moonsparkle, the pretty black-and-white Medicine cat. She touched noses with Leapheart and purred. "How are you?" Leapheart returned the purr. "I'm great. You?" "I'm... fine." Her eyes flickered to the side, and for a moment it seemed as if she was hiding something. But it was gone in a second and Leapheart thought she must have imagined it. "I just have to speak to Webstar." Leapheart dipped her head and and allowed Moonsparkle to go past. Monnsparkle was a very respected and popular cat in camp despite her youth. Her strong connection with StarClan had protected the clan time and time again, and when her mentor Risingstorm had died, her relationship with the clans' ancestors had only grown stronger. She continued to the warriors den, the sun falling in the sky. Curling up in her moss bed, she breathed in the scent of fresh bedding and mentally thanked the apprentices. Her eyes slowly closed, and she fell into sleep. Then she began to dream.
