Songs For Souls *Song 8* Song Title: Daydreamers Dream Inspiration: This was written about a theme that @peacelikerivers gave me Time taken to write: About 15 minutes Shoutouts - @peacelikerivers
I'm staring at my window at the city. Looking at this world that is pretty. But it's fake. And I've built from old wire and some clay. A world that I’ve built up day by day. And I know that it won't come true today. Or in a year. And I know that no matter what I do, my daydream won't ever come true. But this doesn't stop me from trying… that doesn't stop me from seeing what it means… because daydreamers dream. And I'm a 100 miles away. Living in a world that's all fake. And people try to tell me my mistakes, but I can't hear. And they try to get me to focus. Try to get me to come back to earth, but I won't. Cause I'm living in my perfect little world. Created by something in my brain. And the colors never fade even when it rains. Even when it rains. And my eyes may be blurry, but my imagination is clear. My imagination is clear. So pass the colored pencils and some glue. I'll piece together a world just for you. Just for you. And I'm sorry that it'll never come true. No matter what I do. But I can try. So give me the crayons and some tape. And I'll build up a land full of different shapes. And I dream. But it won't ever come true. But this doesn't stop me from trying… that doesn't stop me from seeing what it means… because daydreamers dream.
