Just like in America, how we say "the Fourth of July", Indonesians say "Tujuh Belas Agustus". This year, Indonesia is celebrating its 73rd birthday! I've lived in Indonesia my entire life, so it's a big part of me. Being patriotic makes me feel like I'm part of the country, just as it's a part of me. I believe you can be patriotic and loyal to more than just the country you're a citizen of. Okay, I'm tired form working on this all afternoon, so I'm going to stop and share this.
