Better Resolution: https://www.deviantart.com/waterliily/art/Gift-761608981?ga_submit_new=10%3A1535513981 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A little drawing with a dedication to @vaneIIa <3 (with my Minecraft character.. why does my character show up to every gift geeez). Nonetheless, this is free for only @vaneIIa and I to use, thanks :3 It has been my dream to do line-less anime-realism (xD) for a while now. I always find myself on vaneIIa's profile admiring her work. Recently, I saw activity and commented on one of her art dumps. She responded (aaah) and I asked her for her lineless techniques and she offered a few tips! In this drawing, I've tried a few of her tips out. (process below) ~~~ VaneIIa ... where do I start? First of all, she's the most helpful, inspiring, and motivational person I've ever met. She's very calming and (excuse me xD) so satisfying for some reason x'D All in all, she's just a sweet and amazing person to just say hi to. I would definitely say that she was a major influence in my development as an artist, and will still continue to be. Please visit @vaneIIa if you haven't already <3 ~~ As stated in the process, this was originally going to be a vent. It's still a vent to an extent, but not as dark as I envisioned it. Don't worry I'm fine - but everybody needs to let out some steam ^^ For a short period of time (like, 2 weeks pfft) I felt very pressured to do everything perfectly - both in school and art. Since school's started, I lost connection with my art, dealing with more work in high school and stuff. On the side, drama was brewing up with a couple of my friends on Hypixel. Minecraft was my escape from the pressure to play video games, until I started to feel pressured there too. I felt that I needed to be on the level with my friends there. The friends mentioned before have reached past a certain level there and have become competitive in their games, no longer playing casually, but with higher leveled people. That made me bummed for a while, but now it's kind of better. I'm getting used to playing myself now. I have also managed my schoolwork so I would have at least 1 hour to play video games and draw as well (it sounds kinda dumb now saying this lol). ~~ Drawing process (it's gonna be descriptive, I have too many layers to hide to show the process xD) 1. Airbrushed a sketch. This is to help me get a general idea of the anatomy and pose. 2. Airbrushed in the base colors under the sketch (main skin color, hair color, shirt, and blobs for the flowers). At this point I didn't plan on adding eyes. This was originally a more serious vent drawing so I thought I could add that shadow in place of the eyes that anime artists do? 2. I used a sharper brush to block in the base colors on top of the sketch, using the sketch as guidlines. The blocked in colors hid most of the sketch. 3. I added the details that I would normally add with a lined drawing - just no clipping due to the base colors being both above and below the sketch. This is where I added skin details and hair shading. 4. I focused more on the hair (I love hair!) I experimented with different luminosity opacities and colors to get, what I think is, cool detailing. I also tried using Misty's Fur brush tool for the highlighting. 5. This is where I decided to add the eyes, no eyes look weird. Nothing to explain here xD (I technically used lines for the face detailing). I did minimal work for the shirt and flowers _-_ 6. I knew I wanted galaxy background, so I experimented with different airbrush textures. This texture used here spoke to me xD 10. Lastly, the moon and filters :') (scratch ruined the resolutionnn) ~~ Credits: Art by me For <3 Music: Canon in D. This song is one of my old favorites explaining why I included it in this piece. Let me know if you know a better piece of music that might fit better ^^ Sparklies:
