Pokemon of the Hidden Spirits ~ Octavia & Starfall

A couple of familiar faces! Well, in kind of a weird way...yeah, maybe I should have phrased that differently. OCTAVIA BIO: Octavia is a childhood friend of Tybalt's, and also happens to be his polar opposite in many ways. While Tybalt prefers deception to battling, is courteous to his enemies, and just wants to free the Dark Lord in the easiest way possible, Octavia is a hot-blooded hybrid who delights in tormenting others and will fight anyone for any reason. Stubborn and impatient, she doesn't care too much about the Keys, and would much rather go out and attack Pokemon without waiting for the Dark Lord to be freed. So what if she has to pop back to the Dark Realm every once in a while? It's no big deal! Of course, knowing Octavia, she'd probably change her mind in a split second if the dark Pokemon ever got their hands on a Key or nine, but I digress. Octavia takes a lot of pride in the build-up to a battle, and especially enjoys scaring and intimidating her victims before actually attacking. She sometimes gets carried away with it, though. For example, most of the moves she knows prioritize style over usefulness in battle. She's still a formidable opponent, though, and what she lacks in strategy she makes up for in sheer aggression and ruthlessness. Tybalt often follows her into the light world to keep her from making too many rash decisions, much to her frustration. BACKSTORY: Octavia comes from a long line of Lycanroc and Rockruff hybrids, all descended from an ancient Midnight Lycanroc named Alpha (a character you may recognize as the Pokemon who created Hex all those years ago). Her family has a bitter rivalry with Starfall's, which is descended from a Flygon named Nix who used to be Alpha's closest friend before the two of them turned on each other. The feud has gone on for generations... but Octavia's mostly indifferent about it. Unlike her ancestors, she's a dark Pokemon, and dark Pokemon have more important things to worry about than some silly conflict like that. So, putting that aside, her life has been fairly normal for someone of her kind. There was one incident in which a Palossand hybrid almost killed her (see Trixie's bio for details) - it was originally just going to eat her, but upon realizing that she was a dark Pokemon, instead decided to chain her up in a cave so that she couldn't return to the Dark Realm to recharge. Of course, she escaped in the end, and doesn't think about it too often anymore. It's a dangerous world, after all, and you've just got to get used to that fact. STARFALL: BIO: Starfall is an introverted and somewhat jumpy gemcutter/geologist who lives and works at the volcano. The gemcutting is more of a hobby than anything, since the volcano isn't exactly a good place for a business, but he's usually more than happy to make something for a Pokemon who stops by. He can seem a little cold at first glance, but opens up and becomes quite friendly after he's known someone for a while. Starfall enjoys travelling as well. He sometimes visits the town during more quiet times of the day, but prefers being close to nature. He has a large collection of cut and polished gemstones in his house, mostly just for decoration. In fact, he has a lot of strange little trinkets on display. Starfall adores anything colorful or shiny, and will take home anything he finds that he's able to carry. BACKSTORY: As previously mentioned, Starfall is descended from an ancient Flygon named Nix, and his family absolutely hates Octavia's. And, much like Octavia, he doesn't want anything to do with the whole feud. He just wants to be left alone with his stones. But he was still raised to despite Lycanroc and Rockruff growing up, and hasn't been able to shake a sense of nervousness when he sees one. He's trying to be better about it, really! Besides that, though... there isn't all that much to say. Starfall left home at a relatively young age to get away from the chaos and bustle of life, and has been living on the side of the volcano ever since. It's a simple life. A peaceful life. And he wouldn't have it any other way.
