~DREAMS of a SAILBOAT~ Original poem by @IndigoWrites World. Offers life, offers wonder. Life. Offers sorrow, fright, and a Heavy heartbeat. They. Offer love, offer care, though They do not know the predicament. It. Shies away from the pain. Is chased down, is hunted through the hunger. Hunger for less, never more. Less of It. It Wants a way out. It Dreams of a sailboat. This sailboat is atypical. Just like its user. This boat sails none but dreams. This boat steers through rough waters. Endless rough waters. The water wants to pull It down, drowning It in unimaginable terror and and Letting It rot In a deep chasm of self. This sailboat will keep It afloat, let It glide Through this funny thing that we all may be better off Without. This thing that consists to exist, though it disappears countless Times. This thing that is full of rough waters that not everyone makes it to The Other Side. This funny thing, we call Life. It suspects that others have sailboats. It suspects they may be the only one without. It wants to glide through rough waters, how impossible that may be. Always impossible, with only the Dream of a sailboat. It Hangs on for dear life, grasping For every bit of driftwood. Sometimes there is none. Sometimes the current wins. Alone through this orphaned land, though Surrounded by yachts and motorboats. No one throws down a ladder. It Will never stop searching. It Still might give up, and take the easy route through our rough water. It Only needs something simple to hold on to. It Still dreams of a sailboat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All words and art by me, font by @FontGod I'm kinda proud of the thumbnail. My first vector shading attempt.
