This program allows you to use the coordinate grid to make polygons and nets. A laser machine "cuts" net edges and "perforates" lines that will fold. "Go to" moves the laser without leaving a line. Students who are using The Architects' Project investigation can experiment to explore the context or use the program to test out their net designs. It has many other open-ended possibilities as well!
The context for this program is taken from The Architects' Project: Area, Volume, and Nets, a sixth grade geometry unit by Sylvia Glassco and Catherine Twomey Fosnot. Please keep this note if you remix the program.
