Help Mama Anna get the kitchen cleaned up before company arrives. She needs to get the kitchen floor tidy and pick up all those toys in the next 60 seconds. The toys seem to have a mind of their own and keep reappearing. Anna earns 2 points for every toy she touches. Cleaning up is hard work, Anna also has to make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty or water [add slurp] 1 point for each drink ... but she shouldn't drink more than 8! Anna also has cookies baking in the oven, she doesn't want them to burn or she will have to serve stale doughnuts and charcoal to her guests. [Need burning effect] If the phone rings, Anna will literally drop everything to answer it. For every ring that goes unanswered, Anna's score will drop by 1. Her answer is always the same, "Not Ready!" Like all good puppies, Mischief likes to chew toys. If he gets to the toy first, Anna's score drops by 3 points, and Chomp grows into a bigger problem! Beware, Mischief is a tripping hazard and if Anna gets too close she will tumble heads over heels.
I'm developing this game while teaching myself Scratch. I'm using Jon Woodcock's "Coding Games in Scratch" ($1 at my library used bookstore) as a reference. People always say, "Write what you know." This craziness was a part of my world when my children were very young. Although they are grown, I still have a big, goofy dog, a ringing telephone and have been known to burn the cookies. Future tweaks -Work with cloning to create toys -show Anna holding perfect cookies, charcoal cookies or empty plate with score -Anna should really avoid the soda [add burp & pause] and doughnuts [doughnut & Anna dance, add burst & pause]. -A good cup of coffee [coffee cup & slight increase in speed] can give her an extra boost.
