Read here for super long lecture: People have been terrified of sharks for YEARS. YEARS. What they don't realize is how important they really are. Sharks may be a predator, and may attack and eat other animals. But that is very important to the community. If sharks are gone, the population of the other fish in the sea would keep growing. They will, eventually, ruin the oceans. (Humans littering don't help, either.) Sharks may have attacked many humans over the years, but that is only because of a misunderstanding. Sharks are very smart. once they realize a certain animal is not food, they stop attacking. If you still think sharks are dangerous, NEWS FLASH. More sharks are killed by humans than humans killed by sharks. That's right. Scientists estimate over 100 MILLION SHARKS are killed by humans every YEAR, while humans have a higher chance of being struck by lightning or crushed by a vending machine than killed by sharks.
