Welcome to Flora, the town
Hello! Welcome to my first game. Its a scrolling game, and it was pretty difficult, but it was to celebrate my unannounced, unintentional hiatus. Well, it was sort of intentional but it was more of computer problems and busyness that caused it, not Scratch. So far you can't really play anything, I have a lot of work to do, but you can walk around and see what I have done. I will constantly be updating this, so if you like it so far, stay tuned. Anyway, even if you want to skip through the description, please do read the instructions. However, I do recommend you read the full credits. Okay, so tap each door to enter a shop. If you press the left arrow key, you go to the right. You press "Reset" to go back to where you started (your progress will be saved.) You can hire employees, or buy seeds and land in some of the shops (in later versions). If it ask you a question you can respond anything, it doesn't matter. Click the background to buy a product (with flower bucks, this games currency).Try and make as much money as possible (this will come in later versions). You can wait for someone to buy it, or sell it for less than it is worth. The little character at the bottom right corner will order every once and a while, and you can buy seeds. But you have to be in your shop to sell things. Answer every question with Y/N. Every flower will be sold for twice as much as the seeds were, and you can sell up to ten at a time if you have them in your inventory. So far it is not connected to anything so it can't save once you ex out of it. Also, you can criticize, but only constructive criticism! Don't just say "This game sucks," say something like: "Your game was alright, but it could be improved if the scrolling went both sides and you didn't have to press reset." But please don't put that, because... well, I already know how to do that and it will be in later versions. And please don't just put: "Love this game" in the comments either. I want real feedback. THAT is what a love/favorite button is for. But again, constructive criticism so something like: "Love this game, but next time you should code your sprite so and so instead of how you did." This is a W.I.P. (Now, if you like, you can play the game. You've read the instruction.) If you have trouble reading the labels on the buildings, here is a guide to help you: Blue- Land Store Pink- Seed Store Purple- Flower Store (this is your shop to maintain in future updates!) Green- Job Center Yellow- Coming Soon! And the employee at the flower shop looks like a character from , I swear I wasn't trying to copy her, even if it looks that way. Inspired by a project by . She made a really nice scrolling game, even though its a WIP, and I wanted to make a scrolling game to, but figured I wasn't good enough. But I tried, and, ta-da! I have a project... and this is the most coding I've ever done. Here it is: Also, I am thinking about making the yellow shop that I am making into an arcade in case you get bored. Should I do that? Maybe a art gallery or a library? Either way, I want the yellow house to be a glimpse of Scratch, not just... you know, whatever game I decide to make. Vote in the comments section. Here is the timeline for this game so far: 9/8/2018: Started 9/11/2018: Finished v.1.0 and shared for the first time. 9/14/2018: v1.1 comes out (added customers and the ability to sell flowers.) 9/17/2018: v.1.2 is released (now you have the ability to buy and -in even sell things... but growing is still a work-in-progress 9/21/2018: Worked on it for about half an hour with no reason but to make sure it was functional and to polish things up a More coming soon.
