Fill out the form as instructed, and your item will probably be in the game. (Instructions on how to sign up are in the "Notes and Credits" section) Arrow keys to rotate head Spacebar to activate tear/E to activate bomb
Welcome to my "contest." In this contest, I am asking you to make items for my project based on the indie game "The Binding of Isaac." Before I tell you more, you need to know the rules of the contest: Rule #1: Items must be SCRATCH APPROPRIATE. Inappropriate items will not be put in the game, and any other entries made by the same Scratcher will no longer be valid. Rule #2: This form must be entirely filled as a REMIX. Entries otherwise will not be counted. Rule #3: Follow my GUIDELINES on what you can and cannot create. Anything I say you cannot create is deemed not possible for me. Unless you can help me figure out how to make it (you must notify me to do this), please follow only what you can create. Rule #4: Do not tell me in the COMMENTS section to "check out your project" or entry to this contest. It is very annoying and makes it harder for me, and your item(s) will not be accepted. Rule #5: The item must have an ICON. This icon will appear in-game and is important to all items. ==================================================Okay. now...the guidelines. Create an icon in full color, and a duplicate of the same icon in gray scale in the box beneath it. When you are done creating your icon, I ask that you delete the boxes around them, and DO NOT MOVE THE ICONS. FOR CREATING A PASSIVE ITEM: Create an icon in full color, and a duplicate of the same icon in gray scale in the box beneath it. When you are done creating your icon, I ask that you delete the boxes around them, and DO NOT MOVE THE ICONS. If your item affects the tears, delete both the slash and the bomb, but do not change the size of the tear (unless your intentionally do that due to the type of your tear). Tear types you may use include charge shot (chocolate milk), quad shot, acidic, telepathic, spectral (goes through rocks), and (possibly) backwards shot (the Inner eye's effects, shoots one tear forwards and one backwards). Each tear type must have full animation. If you plan to make a follower, delete everything in the box (except if the follower is going to shoot tears) and include full animation (if needed, such as an orbit). If you make a bomb item, delete the tear and the slash, and make the bomb type you want (bigger explosion, poison, maybe homing). Again, there must be full animation for the explosion. If you plan to make any visual changes to Isaac, please do NOT enlarge his body. You can only change the color, or make a floating image to him (like the ghostly tail for Spirit of the Night). Everything must be in full animation. Making changes to the head is fine, but I ask that you don't shift his head upward or downward, and that you stay inside the box. Also, you MUST DRAW THE VISUAL EFFECT FOR ALL ANGLES. FOR CREATING A SPACEBAR ITEM: (Read about the bombs in the passives section) If something other than a bomb is being created, delete everything inside the box and draw it in the box. If it is a book or anything that will not be attached to Isaac (Book of Revelations/Belail, Bible, Prayer Card), please draw it in the tear/bomb box. If it is an item that affects Isaac's visuals, I ask you draw it both on Isaac (while not enlarging his body) AS WELL AS in the tear/bomb box. ==================================================Now, to explain the form details. For the name, think of something creative. For example, if I were to create an item referencing Metal Gear Solid, I'd name my item "Phantom Pain." For the creator, put your username (or if did a collab, put both your usernames). For the item's catchphrase (what appears when the item is picked up) You could do a simple stat boost, or you could be creative. For my "Phantom Pain" item, I'd put "...in the neck" to add to it's character. For the effects on the player, put stat boosts or decreases (movement speed, shot speed, damage, HP), or you could make an item like "Bloody Lust" where the item's damage increases depending on how many enemies you killed in that room. For my "Phantom Pain" item, I'd put Speed Up and Shot Speed Up, and it would have spectral tears because Metal Gear Solid is a stealth game. (Tear types and shooting styles explained in Passives section). If there are no visual effects on the character, put "No visual effects;" if there are visual effects, list what they are and where they are. For my "Phantom Pain" item, I'd put an eye patch on him and make him look angry, something that makes him look like Naked Snake (the main character of MGS V: The Phantom Pain). Also put whether the item would be activated by spacebar or activated (and kept activated) on pick-up (no, you can't have both). My "Phantom Pain" item would be passive because it effects Isaac's stats, for example. ==================================================Congratulations for making it to the bottom of the notes section. I hope you have fun making an item for my game! (man, I really put a lot in this notes section)
