Runaway is a fun and simple game. In the game, you are the blue dot, and you can move right, left, up, and down. Your job is to survive as long as possible to get the maximum score, ( after you die you can check your score by looking at the number below the "World Record Score for Runaway" ). You can die by either running into the red dot, (which is chasing after you), or by running into anything black. As you play, you might notice that orange squares appear, if you "collect" these you will get a reward either in the form of extra speed or point boosters. If you die you will have to press the red stop button and green flag button, sometimes you will have to do this twice due to how I programmed the game. Anyway, have fun! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ADVANCED RULES For those who are wondering more about how the game works and some tips, please read the following. *BLUE DOT* -You can move in two directions at the same time (i.e. up and left) *RED DOT* -It can move through black obstacles -It will chase after the player no matter what -It cannot "collect" orange squares -Every 20 seconds the Red Dot will speed up by a tiny amount *ORANGE SQUARES* -Orange squares stay where they are until collected -After you collect one the next one will appear in 20 seconds nearing the center of the screen -Orange squares have a 50/50 chance of either giving the user 30 added points to the "Actual Score" or a speed boost -When you get the "Speed boost" your speed will be increased by 1 for the rest of the game and if you collect multiple speed boosts they do all add up making you faster and faster -If you don't get increased speed when collecting an orange square that means you have won a "Point Booster" which means you gain points at a faster rate *SCORE* The "Actual Score" is determined by how long you survived in seconds times 10 (But every time you collect a Point booster this '10' value will increase by 0.15).
