A dog had tore his right thigh up and left a giant wound. A passerby luckily found Xander and took him to a hospital; he would have died otherwise. When the gash finally closed up, it left a wide scar running down his thigh. Everyone, to Xander's dismay, started veering around him and taking pains to not get close. That's when his self doubt started creeping in and taking over his mind. Xander was still in high school, and his grades got worse and worse. At the end of the year, the teachers decided he was to repeat the grade. Xander's summer was mostly uneventful, but he really broke down when school started. Xander had no friends, due to them being in the grade above and the students in his classes never wanting to come close to him as if afraid they would catch a disease. It turned out they weren't far from right when a year from the bite had passed and he went to the hospital to check for infection. A large "bug" of deadly bacteria was living in his right thigh, and the doctors wanted to amputate it. Xander just couldn't take it and hated himself and the world. Knowing it would kill him, he refused to let his leg be cut off and ran away. His leg started extremely hurting him about a month later, but he grit his teeth and wouldn't leave the run-down abandoned apartment he had found. Two months later, the infection had traveled through his whole body and killed him slowly. The cops, who had been looking for him, found his body still. His parents and friends mourned, along with many others who came to his funeral. They had missed the troublemaker, even his old teachers. Xander's parents hissed out what their son had felt from everyone making their paths around him before breaking down in sobbs, leading his fellow students to feel guilty for years. Finally, they burned his body and watched it drift into the heavens.
