Click and move your mouse to drop a ball in the water. You'll see waves propagating through the water. Press R to reset everything. Press M to toggle the music. You can also change the force multiplier to adjust the waves height. __________________________________________________ Please comment and leave a like and favorite if you like this! ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
YAY! FRONT PAGE 02/08/14 :) Thanks to everyone who loved and commented this! I used the tutorial on http://gamedevelopment.tutsplus.com/tutorials/make-a-splash-with-dynamic-2d-water-effects--gamedev-236 by Michael Hoffman and also a big thanks to @TheLogFather and @Jamohyperturbopro for the fast triangle filling block! Also it's the music of the Shire in the Hobbit :) If you want to use this for a game please add credit and ask me if you need help I could help you implement it in your project. It's not perfect, as you can see when you drop a ball there's a little bug with the water going down. How it works: The water is made of "springs". When you drop a ball, it pushes on a spring making it move. Each spring interacts with his left and right neighbor which make the waves propagate. I also made this in Lua using the app TouchLua for iOS
