thx whispersinthewind! - Backstory ambersky padded into the forest. trees swished around her, seeming to talk, although ambersky knew not why. she paused at the scent of another cat. DarkClan! she slithered into a holly bush, and glimpsed out into the forest. and scent grew stronger, and ambersky became worried she might become found. the young warrior tensed, only then to notice the DarkClan scent became mingled with DuskClan. what was a DuskClan warrior doing this late with one of her clan mates. she squeezed into a tight space next to a tree trunk. all of a sudden, she recognised the scent. Bumbleclaw! what was her brother doing? she crept closed, till she heard her his voice, and stopped dead. ducking under a long bramble tendril, she studied the two cats before her. the DarkClan cat was a your tabby she cat, whom she remembered as ivytail t from gatherings. she perked her ears, until she heard what they where saying. " i gotta see you again. only these night things aren't working. i almost got caught by Silverstar last night. and ripplepool thinks i'm really tired. which is true. i am pretty sluggish until dawn, until i see you." ivytail pressed her flank against Bumbleclaw, and sighed. " me too." Brambleclaw admitted " only it was applepelt who almost caught me... and i too am too tired, so tired i asked ambersky so take beepaw hunting...." Bumbleclaw nuzzled ivytail, before laying down on a patch on heather. !Thats why he asked her to take beepaw hunting! and not to mention, why he had been so tired the last moon. had he been seeing her that long? without ambersky knowing? without heasitation, ambersky leaped out of her hiding spot, and pelted across the toppled soil. without knowing or caring where she was going, she streaked past the DarkClan boarder, and russtled leaves. after a while, she stopped, hard out of breath, panting like a wild dog. after she calmed down, she realised she was almost to the moon pool. taking in a deep breath, the padded over to the pool. only medicine cats come here, but ambersky needed to talk with her ancestors. she snuggled into a fern bush, and touched her nose to the water. a swirling light blinded her, as she was flung into a pine forest. she looked around in bewilderment. this must be StarClan hunting grounds! cautiously, ambersky inced forward, until the forest changed to oak, and maple. she climbed up the nearest tree, and paced across the top branches. as she leaped for the next branch, noises below startled her. she leaped down the tree, and charged toward the noise. "ambersky" a voice behind her made the young warrior jump. she jumped aroung, to see her mother, brightspirit. " brightspirit" she cried " hush young one. you came with a question." "yes... did you know about Bumbleclaw?" brightspirit hesitated. " yes... yes i did" " and you never told me? or dirtwhisker" ambersky cried. dirkwhisker, being her oldest brother should have be informed. " patience young one. Bumbleclaw will realise where his true destiny lies, and who it lies with soon enough... just have patience." " should i tell him i know?" ambersky was scared by the thought of her brother knowing she knew. " patience" brightspirit whispered. " just have patience...." the shadown around brightspirt began to fall, swirling back into the shape of the moon pool. ambersky awoke. dawn was just coming, and the dawn patrol was sure to smell her trail if she waited to long. the young tabby she-cat started running through the trees, and remembering her mothers words. patience? what sort of advice is that? waiting for her brother to make up his mind? ambersky decided to not come back empty handed. she caught a vole, and two mice, and entered the camp, still wondering about everything her mother had said, and her brother.
