The route for the speedrun is at the bottom of the instructions. Left and Right - Move Up - Jump Down + Up - Long Jump Down in Air - Ground Pound Y - Throw Cappy Down + Y - Dive Capture something by hitting it with Cappy and uncapture it with Y. Time doesn't start until you move onto the second level. Longest form of distance: Long Jump, Throw, Dive, Bounce, Throw, Dive. Speed Tips: Me - Avoid almost every moon possible like the ones across long gaps by using the trick said above. Also, before the Topper boss fight, if you spawn on the right house, long jump left and you'll clip through the path up and hit the loading zone. Me- Uncapturing an enemy during a jump on the right side of the screen through the screen transition will let you do an Uncapture Warp. This wrongwarps you to the right side of the screen in the next room. This is helpful in the goomba room in the red area and before the frog maze to skip the maze entirely. Route: Start the game. Jump into the screen transition and start the speedrun. Dive between the goomba and the moon and dive through the screen transition. Hold both down and mash y through the transition to get a mid-air dive to make it up to the dirt ledge. Long jump into the transition and buffer a jump press by holding up the whole time. Dive after the jump and then long jump into the screen transition. Normal jump into cap bounce and the dive to skip the gap and the moon. Hold down and up to get an immediate long jump and keep holding down to enter the pipe. Red Area split: Hold down and mash y to get a dive and then long jump when you land. After the screen transition, walk until Cappy is able to capture the goomba. Capture the goomba. Walk until you are nearing the edge of the screen, jump, and uncapture when the goomba is about halfway through the edge of the screen. Dive after the uncapture warp. Open the door and hope that you get lucky and end up in the middle of the room for reasons unbenounced. Buffer a dive (hold down, mash y) and then long jump. Walk until you can capture the frog. Capture the frog. Grab the moon. Do the hardest trick in the run by jumping into the screen transition and uncapturing at the right time. This one is hard because the frog isn't good at giving visual cues like a goomba, but if you happen to mess up, you can always go back to the first screen and try again. This trick is essential and you will not get sub-minute without it. Enter the door. Jump onto the hat on the right side of the screen. Face leftwards and long jump to reach the boss fight. Dive after the cutscene with a buffer. Throw cappy, wait until cappy comes back, jump and throw cappy right after, bounce on his hat, mash y to hit Topper a third time, then either bounce or jump towards his head. Back up so that Cappy is able to be thrown onto Topper's body during the animation of him getting hit, and then when the animation is over, Cappy has to be in the spot where Topper is so that topper can get hit immediately after the animation, which causes his hat to spawn in the middle of the arena and move to the right every time. Be prepared to jump when he gets hit to avoid the hat. Jump and cap throw whenever you are above the height of his hats on the ground but low enough to hit him. and then bounce on him. Do the exact same thing that we did on phase two for phase 3. Mash Y after he is dead and the cutscene plays. Wait for the title to show up.

At least I found out how to stop fake times. Sorta... 5/5/20 - I am very surprised by the random surge of a few people coming to my project and leaving a like and favorite. It really brightens up my day and I always appreciate new people trying their hardest. 10/15/20 - After a really long time, I finally got a new PB. I think this project is very optimised, but I'll have to see.
