Credit to ultimate_cat_lover. So, this is Wolf Tail's story: It was a bright and sunny morning. Wolftail padded out of the warrior's den. "Wolf tail, Sunlight, you're on a patrol. Check out if there are still any foxes nearby." said the voice of Brighteye, the deputy. "Okay." said Wolftail. And they went. As they were patrolling, Wolftail smelled the scent of a...badger. Sunlight must have also noticed. "We need to be more alert." said Sunlight. After a while, Sunlight stopped. "Something's here." Sunlight's ears twitched. Just as they were about to move on, a badger suddenly leaped out from the bushes, and pounced on Wolftail. Wolftail struggled free, but then, the badger bit his leg. Hard. Wolftail yowled in pain. As if on cue, Brighteye pounced on the badger. "I'll hold him off! You go!" Brighteye shouted. Wolftail's eye's flickered to Sunlight, then to his leg. He couldn't fight very well with his injured leg, but still, he couldn't leave Sunlight behind. Wolftail knocked over the badger. "Wolftail!! What are you doing?!" Sunlight said. "What do you think?!" Wolftail shouted. The badger slashed at Wolftail's ear. Wolftail cried out in pain. Once again, Sunlight knocked over the badger. Just as Sunlight said "GO! I'll handle him!" the badger clawed Sunlight's neck. Sunlight fell to the ground."SUNLIGHT! NO!!" And everything went black. A few hours later, Wolftail woke up in the Medicine Cat's Den. "Oh, you're awake." said Mistsky, the medicine cat. Wolftail stared at his (now bandaged with cobwebs) injured leg. "Where's Sunlight?" Wolftail asked, not wanting to know the answer. "She...didn't make it. I'm sorry. She was a good warrior." Wolftail hung up his head in sorrow. (I should have not interfered...I should have alerted the clan.
