*a week later and I already hate this art hhhhhhhhhhhhh* hhhhhhhh this is Caeruleum (SAY - uh - rule - iam) This is my nonbinary bab and prefer to be called 'them' They also have a natural but strange aversion to the color orange Anyways, she's a species I made (its pretty simple) called the Attendentes (uh - TEN - deh - dees). They each have 'color genes' that will determine their overall color. Caeruleum's is obviously blue. Genders don't biologically matter to the Attendentes. Two 'females' could have offspring as could two 'males.' However, terms like 'male and 'female' are still present in the tribe. Hybrids occur like mixing colors would happen. A red and yellow attendentes (yes, singular is attendentes and plural is attendenti), would make orange offspring. Red and blue would make purple and so on. Eventually, if the colors get too blended and such, the offspring eventually turns brown or gray (like you would get if you mixed that many colors). Pure colored Attendentes (like Caeruleum) are considered pure-blooded, while brown ones are considered to be tainted, also known as malums. Malums are forbidden to have offspring, for fear of 'tainting' the rest of the population. Fun fact: Each color is naturally averted from their contrasting color. For example, Caeruleum's unexplained fear of the color orange. Purple's nervous around yellow, and vise versa, and red's nervous around green, and vice versa. Malums are kind of just neutral. = Alright stop reading now = hhhhhh Part of Caeruleum's story is that she falls in love with an orange-colored Antendentes named Solis and at first they hate each other and don't like each other but they eventually become super close and they have little gray-colored fluffballs that are super cute, but are determined malums and because of that Caeruleum and Solis's little children can't have their own little children and Caeruleum's and Solis's parents are upset and so they force them to part with each other and their little fluffball children, and the little children grow up thinking that this really adorable gay couple that I love so much are their fathers and that because one of their dads is purple (whos name is Indicum) and the other is yellow (whos name is Litore) they themselves are gray because when contrasting colors have children the offspring are oftentimes malums, and THEY'RE malums, and so they come to that really sad conclusion, and they never know that Caeruleum and Solis are their real parents and neither Caeruleum nor Solis ever say anything to their kids or to each other because they were married off to different Attendentes by their parents to have 'pure-blooded, non-disgraceful' children, where Caeruleum was forced to marry a blue Attendentes named Abitrium, that at first she hates and then falls in love with, and has a bunch of even cuter fluffball children with Abitrium, but then Solis runs away from the tribe because he can't stand not being around Caeruleum and watching her fall in love with someone else, and so Caeruleum thinks he died and gets really upset and tries to tell her malum children that their actually hers but Indicum and Litore stop her and tell her its for the best if the children never know, and then Caeruleum runs away, too, because plot holes, and eventually finds Solis and they live together outside the tribe for the rest of their lives and she becomes overjoyed, and they get taken in by a different tribe on the other side of the mountain range their old tribe lived by, and woooooowwwwwww I should stop talking now because that's a massive sentence.
