Coding: @QuantumQuirk Art and OCs: MistCat So, I keep seeing all of these adorable memes to this song but, the song itself is super sad and I don't understand it one bit. ANYWAY, the OCs are Jonah and Lydia to anyone not really familiar with my characters. Previously they were supposed to be engaged but Lydia broke it off. She has never actually really liked Jonah if we're being honest. She's just always had such a huge fear of commitment she kinda forced herself to be in the relationship thinking it'll get better. Jonah was a sweetheart, her parents liked him, he could always make her laugh, but everything just felt uncomfortable for Lydia, as she wasn't used to dating someone for so long. Jonah has always been clingy with everyone and he's always worried. This presents a few problems as Lydia HIGHLY values her alone time. She has also always hated that Jonah would never get mad. It sounds weird, but in her family everyone is very open about their emotions, if they're mad or upset, they'll let you know so they can work it out. Meanwhile, Jonah is so insecure about losing his friends he never voices his opinion unless it's positive. That bothers her a lot. She wishes she knew how he actually felt. Looking back Lydia wonders why she didn't break up with him sooner, but it really wasn't easy for her. She felt listless, anxious and like she needed her space more and more, but felt like if she kept distancing herself from Jonah he would be hurt, as he needed to be near the people he loved, he's just that kind of social person. Although she didn't want to be in a relationship with him anymore, she still wanted to be in a relationship to prove that she could work past her commitment issues, she also still cared about how he felt and seeing how they got engaged it would completely crush him. It took her a long time to realize that wasn't healthy for anyone, and it would be unfair to Jonah if she decided to stay with him even when her heart wasn't in the relationship. She did her best to move on quickly though, not wanting to dwell on the breakup. Jonah is heartbroken, of course. He really thought he found the one, he loved her more than anyone else he's ever met. He'd love to stay friends but Lydia says that's not an option.
