GreyPaw is a member of the Black Pack. It's named for the leader, (Currently BlackStripe, father of WhiteTail). Upon birth, each cub is given a half a name (Tail, Paw, Stripe) and the first part identifies which family they belong to. (GreyPaw's parents abandoned him, so he was adopted into the Black Pack by GreyEar. WhiteTail was named for her mother (WhiteRiver, dead) instead of her father (BlackStripe) It is tradition for Pack leader's cubs to be named with their mate's family name, otherwise the pack leader would chose which family name the cub would get.
