The design of the car comes from this paper "Scratch: A Sneak Preview".https://llk.media.mit.edu/papers/ScratchSneakPreview.pdf. (I love that this 2004 paper says that Scratch will be deployed to handhelds). I wrote the program as a 'starter project' with many forever loops and lots of touching color sensor blocks. System Info: CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G620 @ 2.60GHz with 8GB Ram OS:Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 Browsers: Chrome: Version 70.0.3538.77 (Official Build) (64-bit) FireFox: 63.0.1 (64-bit) It's interesting that Scratch 2 under Chrome does so badly. Maybe there exists some browser options that would improve this.
