Although I don't do remixes that often, I decided to remix this project by @beckerbird as I think it really deserves some more life put into into it. Despite me completely re-making the project from scratch (pun not intended) I still think the original game should be remarked for it's premise. Now to the game. In this game, you have to fend yourself from 3 baddies with nothing but a... tank of course. You have ten hits before it's over. Thankfully, you can eliminate an enemy in a single shot, but that doesn't mean they can't respawn again. Try to survive as long as possible and eliminate as many enemies as you can before you perish. The controls are simple: -Aim with mouse/touchpad. -Shoot with Click. -Move forward with W or the Up Arrow key. -Rotate clockwise with D or the Right Arrow key. -Rotate anti-clockwise with A or the Left Arrow key. -Reverse with S or the Down Arrow key.
First, some references: -Explosion Sprite: by Dingleberry. -Explosion Sound: also by Dingleberry. -Crosshair (Spring) Effect: I learnt this after a tutorial from PullJosh. Now, I want to state all the alterations from the original game: -A fresh coat of paint: Not necessarily better or worse, just a different style. Although, this one has been updated in vector. -Smoother movement: Rather than moving in 4 directions, I made it so you rotated instead of going straight with the left and right keys. I also made the controls tankier (again, pun not intended). Before, you went fast and it felt slippery, so I tightened up the controls for easier movement. -Better firing: Before, firing felt clunky and difficult. Sometimes your explosion wouldn't eliminate an enemy, you couldn't fire whilst moving, it was hard to shoot with the spacebar, and you could just hold the spacebar and it would spam it. However in this, every problem above has been fixed. Your explosion will always be registered. You can now fire whilst moving. The shoot button has been moved to click for convenience. And there's a cooldown so you can't spam shots. -Improved enemies: This is just a slight difference but it makes the enemies much harder to eliminate. Now, if they sense your Crosshair is close to them, they will change their pathfinding to evade it. Once they've escaped, they will resume chasing after the tank. -Improved spawning: An issue in the previous game was that enemies could spawn on top of your tank and deal damage without you knowing it. But now, enemies have a cooldown when they spawn, meaning if they spawn on your tank, you have time to get rid of them. I will be adding new features to the game in the future.
