They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. "For the Fallen" by Laurence Binyon Remembrance day this year falls on Sunday the 11th of November - and this year marks the centenary of the end of WW1. At 11:11 AM, people all across the world will fall silent for two minutes in honour of those who died fighting for their country. My particular thanks goes to my great-great-uncle, JR Carnaby. He was killed in action on the 26th October, 1917, aged 26. Thank you for your service. On the 22nd November I am travelling to Ypres for a day with my school to go to the war graves, marking the centenary of WW1. On the 11th November, people will be paying their respects to our fallen heroes at many other graves and memorials. Even if you can't do anything special, buy a poppy to wear this week, donate to a poppy appeal, or remix this project and set it as your featured one, and show some respect on your profile.
