Testing took place on the dates of 06 and 07/11/2018. Testing is now complete and this project is no longer updated. For the fully updated version of Rockfall, head over to https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/259606418/. Thank you very much to everyone who gave me help during the testing period.
The AIMS OF THIS TEST were: To determine what problems this game currently has, to resolve the problems and to revise the starting score. What I found out during the test: 1) 25 points seems like a good starting score 2) Another rock may be necessary since the game is too easy. 3) Some extra difficulty modes may be a good idea. That is for another testing period, though (since adding features was not part of the aims of this test). 4) A third rock really increases the difficulty of this game to a significant extent. Slowing the rocks down, therefore, is crucial. 5) A speed of 5 is good for the fast rock and 3.5 for the slower rocks. What was changed during the testing, compared to the original game: 1) The game starts with 25 points instead of 3000. 2) Thumbnail did say "In testing" on it. This is no longer the case, however, since the testing is now complete. 3) A third rock is present. This is a rapid rock with a speed of 5.5. 4) The slow rock has a speed of 3.5 instead of 4. 5) All rocks start hidden at the start of the game. Issues that were resolved during this test: 1) The speed of rocks. 2) The number of rocks. 3) Starting score. 4) Rocks being visible before they start moving at the start of the game. Issues that unfortunately were left unresolved: These issues will be fixed at a later date if possible. 1) Rocks occasionally fail to award points. (Unresolved due to lack of knowledge of cause). 2) Difficulty modes were not added. (Unresolved since this test was not intended to add features). This section will be changed if necessary.
