I probably don't stand a chance against a sculpture, but I'm going to try at least? ✰✰✰✰✰ Name: Martin Smith Gender: male species: human (I'll explain) Age: 20s-30s Likes: ideas, inventing, vintage things, sweater vests Dislikes: night, rain, his scar Personality: he's cheerful and sarcastic?; he's ready to crack a joke; this is his personality during the day; at night, he's scared and paranoid, but he can't really explain why; he wants to be away from people ✰✰✰✰✰ Drawing Process 1) the sketch; I wanted its mouth to be open, but I changed my mind 2) line art 3) base color 4) secondary color 5) coloring in claws, teeth, eyes, bandage, cape 6) final details + shading and lighting Other Drawings: 7) human Martin; here, I was figuring out the story and testing out brushes 8) just human Martin 9) lineless; I like the way this turned out ✰✰✰✰✰ I'm not too good at backstories, so bear with me... So basically, Martin is your average above-average inventor. He's well known in his community and has been to some of the best colleges in the world. He works hard and has a great personality, too. With his most recent research, he's been venturing into areas no scientist has been before. Many other scientists and inventors in the community applaud his efforts, but many others see it as unethical and unnatural. Oh, he's studying the link between humans and animals. Should have mentioned that earlier. One day, while in the lab, one of the inventors that disagreed with him messed with something in his lab which caused an unintentional explosion. It almost claimed Martin's life but he made it out alive. Sadly, the explosion took his eye and caused him to shut down his research. The lab explosion changed him. He, of course, trusted people less, and was a lot more cautious. But there were other changes, too. He's not aware of this, but at night he becomes... well, the dta character. The character is animal-like (as the result of Martin's research) and is not Martin. Both are two completely different people in one person. The character has his own life he lives and is very dangerous. Both do not know each other, but this character is looking for Martin and is a wanted criminal.
