"Come on Birchcloud, it'll be fun!" Oak whined. "I'm not going into a haunted house with you," Birchcloud stated for the hundredth time, rolling his eyes. "I already live in one, with you around." "Please?? Just one time? I'll never ask you for anything like this again, I promise!" Birchcloud sighed, glaring at Oak in frustration. "Fine. But after this, we're going home." "Yes!!" The small ghost cat did a backflip before settling himself on Birchcloud's head. "Let's go!" "Get off." "Nope! I want a good vantage point for the scares!" Giving up the pointless verbal battle, Birchcloud put his hands on his hips, facing the attraction's entrance. "Don't think you're allowed to hitch rides on me after this either. This is a one-time thing, kid." "I'm not a kid!" Oak hissed, fruitlessly swatting his companion's head as they entered the haunted house. "Well, I'll stop calling you 'kid' when you stop acting like one." Oak was about to snap back at Birchcloud, but laughed instead as a special effect made it appear as though the walls around them were covered in eyes. "These are ridiculous!" he exclaimed, nearly falling off of Birchcloud's head with the force of his laughter. "Yeah, well, you're the one who wanted to come in here." "No, this is great! I haven't laughed this hard in forever!" Birchcloud had to smile a little at Oak's strange concept of fun, even though he was still annoyed with the little brat. "Happy Halloween, Oak," he said out of the blue. "Happy Halloween to you too, Birchcloud!"
