She detached herself from her friends and became bitter. Her depression developed into self harm situations and she became extremely sleep-deprived. Then, she found Plagg, and Jacob. Plagg was her kwami, and her way of escaping reality. And Jacob, he was always there for her. A while back, Evelyn was in a train accident, scarring her eye and blinding the other. This made her father resent her and pay little attention to her. When Jacob found out, he didn't care. He helped Evelyn through her troubling times. A year later, on her birthday, Evelyn found a small box that was to her from her mother. It has a steel flower necklace, and a small jewel in the middle.
