Use the arrow keys to control Lionblaze. Access the leader's den by approaching the rock slide and selecting 'yes,' and access the medicine den by approaching it (from below). Both dens can be exited again by walking towards the exit.
Updated version with enhanced graphics: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/76187642/ NOTICE: You may NOT use any of the sprites, background art, or animations (this includes recolors) without crediting me for them. Even with credit, I would prefer that you ask permission before you use them. Thank you to anyone who follows this rule. NOTICE: If you find a glitch and wish to report it in the comments, please scroll down to the bugs section and check to see if said glitch is already listed or not. -------------------------------------------------- All right, so I know it's been months since my last update on this. I'd spent quite a bit of that time working on sprites for other characters, but about the time I was halfway done with the ThunderClan cats, I found myself unsatisfied with how the sprites looked, so I decided to redo the base sprites and animations, which are present in this project. I have to admit, I really like how the new ones turned out. Aside from that, I also added more detail to ThunderClan's camp. However, like the last project, only the leader and medicine dens can be accessed in this, and the camp cannot be exited (in fact, I have yet to even make background art for anywhere apart from the ThunderClan camp yet). In this little demo, you can find Hollyleaf, Dovewing, Ivypool, and Brambleclaw hanging around the exterior part of the camp, while Firestar can be found in the leader's den, and Jayfeather in the medicine den. -------------------------------------------------- UPDATES: (Note: Because the updates on the last project were old and do not necessarily reflect my current plans for the game, I have decided to go through them and make a better list of updates here.) - I still have plans for the final game to not be a single project, and each book in the series would likely be divided into about five parts. However, because of how much programming that would still take, the RPG will definitely be an abridged version of Omen of the Stars, with less important events being left out and scenes being cut shorter. Either that, or I may not program the entire series, but rather a few select books from it. - Once again, no certain release dates yet. I mentioned in the last project that the first part of The Fourth Apprentice would probably have been released in late January/early February. Since we are in September now, that obviously didn't work out. There is still the possibility of new demos, but not likely. I'd prefer to start working towards making the first part of The Fourth Apprentice after this. Just releasing demo after demo will only delay it. I'm still thinking that there might be a trailer, though. - Just as I edited sprites to befit smaller/skinnier cats, I have now also edited sprites for larger cats. Brambleclaw's sprite has been edited this way. - Yes, that fourth frame for the sitting animation still exists, but it has been edited now. - I'm not entirely sure what other animations I plan. I'm likely not going to do the running animation anymore, because I attempted it and it never seemed to work out. The laying down animation will probably still be done. Hunting and fighting will probably be separate mini games, so there will be animations specifically for those. - There are still plans for the final game to have background noise like this demo does. - The playable characters will be Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Dovewing, Ivypool, and Flametail (Night Whispers only), but there's a possibility that Hollyleaf will be playable on a few occasions. I also plan for each character to have a different set of abilities to make varied gameplay. - I'm not entirely sure anymore if I want lines in the final game to be voice acted, but if I do decide to go that route, the cast selection will still not be taken lightly. - Note that making this game will not be a small project (this project alone took hours to program), and it is currently not one of my top priorities, so do not expect quick releases. I'm mostly doing this for fun, and because of that, there's a strong chance that I may not even finish the whole thing. I may start looking into having other people help me with this project, so if you're interested, don't be afraid to leave a comment. - I may crank up the walking speed a bit as it is kind of slow. -------------------------------------------------- BUGS: - If Lionblaze walks into a wall, he may end up getting sucked inside it. There is no current fix for this glitch, but in the meantime, pressing 'T' on the keyboard gets him unstuck. - Although not exactly a glitch, people have reported problems with entering the medicine den. Chances are, if you can't enter it, then you're probably just approaching it from the wrong angle. Try approaching it from below. If you have found any bugs in the game or know any possible fixes for bugs, please do not hesitate to report them in the comments.
