Example: They were two magnificent¹ creatures. 1. Magnificent means great, grand, or majestic. +++ Chapter 1; RyKer “Bell’s up. You’re up. Come on.” GoRdon¹, the king of rules, wrenched the whole comforter off of my cot. I could hear the distant chime of the bell held in the center of Terraton, waking everyone up. Everyone except me. I groaned, hoping that the noise would give GoRdon a hint that I definitely did not want to wake up. He heard it, but chose a different definition of the noise, something he never got right. “Too bad. We’ve got patrol duty today. On the rings², if you’re up to it.” I almost pounced out of bed. Snatching up my uniform, I hurried around the room, looking for my Terraton badge. Terraton, the most important city of all times (not to brag) was located in the center of a desert planet. We were like the center of the whole districts, holding up the other two: the Astrons and Doretons. We had the food and the water. So that was why Terraton was the highest group. And that was why we also had separated into three, tinier districts. There was the Industrial District, where everyone made the signals, the spaceships, and really everything else that was tech. Then there was the Visitor’s District, where anyone from any other main district (Doretons and Terratons) could stay during a visit. And then there was the Official District. That was the one I was in. The Official District was where all the guards stayed, and the leaders of Terraton. After I pulled on my fitted black uniform, I placed a pin on my leather jacket: a spiral with red, blue, and black. GoRdon stuck his head back in the door. “Come on, RyKer! We don’t have all day. The spaceport isn’t going to let T1³ free any longer.” I rolled my eyes where he couldn’t see, and then grabbed my pack and flung it over my shoulder. GoRdon started walking out the door, and I followed suit. +++
