Once, she was free-ranging, and Corny was on top of the nesting box in his coop, and she flew on top of the coop to be closer to him. We hatched Pip from one of Chocolate's eggs, by giving it to Dove when she was broody. We were hatching eggs for one of our neighbors, because he just couldn't get his hens to hatch any. The thing is, when Dove was still raising her, two other hens, White Beard and Zebra, also decided they liked her, and were gonna raise her. So, growing up, Pip had 3 mothers, so we decided not to separate her from her 3 mothers, even though 2 of them didn't hatch her. One night, we looked in the nesting box where Pip slept, and there was a very crammed box. All 3 of them were trying to sleep with Pip! I imagine she didn't get cold that night.
