360-International's 40th project: Sunday, 1 July, 2012 at 3:45 PM. Best in NORMAL FLASH. A simple instant tempo reader (hence the name). WAIT until the tempo screen clears to 000. Press the up arrow key at the start of the first beat, and the down arrow key at the start of the second beat. The numbers will show the average tempo, or beats per minute, of your measurement. For tempos over 999.5, a multiplicand will show, reading x10 or x100. Multiply this by the printed reading to get the correct tempo. If the tempo shown is 60000 or 99900, the beats were too close together to register as two individual beats. This is entirely normal if you try to press the buttons at the same time. However, in normal operation, this may be a sign that your computer is lagging. If your tempo seems unreasonably low when you press the up/down buttons at the same time, you pressed the "down" button just before the "up" button. This is also normal.
