Hi. So, the game that I've been working on. For ages. It's based off this. Actually, it uses this as the character. It was made for the game. Essentially, I decided to let out a little snippet of how the full game is going to end up. So here it is. Use the character sprite if you wish, just credit me in the description! And yes, this game is based upon actual parkour (or at least what I know of it at the moment :P), not just a platformer branded as such. The whole idea for it actually stemmed from the incredible game Mirror's Edge, so go check it out if you haven't already! (Check with the adults if you wanna play it first! :P) You don't have to read all of this, by the way. Just skip down to the controls if you want. Beware that the game is pretty buggy, however. A few of the bugs I can fix, but others I cannot. Let me know in the comments if you find a bug! I made the entirety of this, with the exception of the base platformer code, made by @262015. I did edit and mess with it a whole ton, but they made the basic script. So thanks to them! By the way, it won't take me too long to add a level editor, so let me know if that's something you want to be added to this demo. It won't save, however, so that may be a bit of an issue. Now, to the controls. Basic Motion - Arrow keys to run left and right, and to jump. - While jumping and moving to the side, press the down arrow to dive. - Press the down arrow while still to crouch, and move while crouching to crawl. (Tap the left and right arrows rather than holding them, as there's some glitches with the crawling.) - Press the down arrow while moving to slide. Coloured Zones - Black is wall and ground. Obviously. - The red kills you. Obviously. - Press Q in the pink zones to wall jump. - Press Q in the light blue zones to climb up the ledge. - The light green makes you move a lot faster. - Yellow makes you jump higher, and bounce a little bit. - Aqua is water. Pretty self-explanatory from there. - Olive is bouncy wall. It sends you backwards twice the speed you ran at it with. - Don't worry about the grey on the ground, that's to make sure that the physics work properly. So yeah, that's about it. Wait, one more thing. Like the project? Well here's three suggestions for you. - If you like it to the point that you want to see tons of other people like it too, suggest it to be featured, I guess! - Be excited for the full game of this! It's only a snippet of the physics! - Hit those love and fave buttons! I really appreciate all the support! Ok. I'm done now. ~ Fourslayers101 P.S: Yes, I did try that thing where you get rid of the instructions. I'm gonna try it in the full project too! P.P.S: My friends bullied me. They said that the rolling after the dive looked like a dead spider. Annoy them: . I'm kidding, they're awesome. Check out their accounts too, I think it'd be a nice surprise for them!
