She killed Appledusk (sandy coloured one) and Reedshine (the reddish one) was his mate carrying his kits. Mapleshade was his mate too and her kits had drowned in the river. This is to give you some background knowledge if you don't know Mapleshade's story. You will need it to understand the song.
