Whoop! After hours of procrastination and endless ideas, I've finally finished my SGT entry. And I'm extremely proud of it, too. My stunning (not) piece of artwork revolves around one single storyline and a beautiful quote. ♡,｡･:~:･ﾟ,｡･:~:･ﾟ♡,｡･:~:･ﾟ,｡･:~:･ﾟ♡,｡･:~:･ﾟ,｡･:~:･ﾟ♡,｡･:~:･ﾟ ♡ T H E - S T O R Y L I N E ♡ My entry has a story. A poor girl is always begging her mother for ballet lessons but, because they don't have much money, she always refuses. The girl's friends are always boasting about their new ballet shoes they've brought or the new dancing piece they've learnt. One day, the girl is walking home from school on her birthday. She's extremely upset because her friends have completely forgotten about her birthday. She's been too shy to mention it, as well. As soon as she reaches her doorstep, she sees a brown parcel addressed to her in glittery pink handwriting. When she unties the silky ribbon, she finds that the parcel is a birthday present. They are ballet shoes! The artwork I created was of her, trying out her new pointe shoes. In her imagination, she is dancing on a fashion catwalk, modelling her new shoes. My art is of her imagination. She later finds out the present was from her mother. ♡,｡･:~:･ﾟ,｡･:~:･ﾟ♡,｡･:~:･ﾟ,｡･:~:･ﾟ♡,｡･:~:･ﾟ,｡･:~:･ﾟ♡,｡･:~:･ﾟ ♡ T H E - A R T W O R K ♡ For the art itself, I went for a minimalistic style. I think it really pulls off well. The light, peachy highlights is the light shining on the silky material.
