I tried at least BIO: Name: kakto kojoto (quite simply, "cactus coyote") Gender: genderfluid, they/them unless otherwise specified Species: cactus dog thing?? uhh I feel like if I give an actual species i'll be intruding on some open/closed adoptable thing or another so let's just say they're the same kind of plant-animal hybrid as "opal/flori/okulo" (I can't keep a sona ;<;) Likes: solitude, the night sky, stargazing, warm nights, sand that's like comfortably warm?? like it's hot but not burning hot??, rain Dislikes: snow, cold weather, strangers, bugs Backstory: legend tells of a desert so secluded from the rest of the world that our understanding of reality doesn't seem to reach it. years ago a vagabond human and their trusty partner, a tamed wild dog with a now-forgotten name, wandered into the desert and got horribly lost amongst the sand. they wandered for as long as they could before eventually their stamina failed them and they had to stop. they took shelter in a cave, but that morning when the companion dog awoke they found that their human friend was gone. they continued to wander, and over the course of many weeks, as with every step they came closer and closer to dying of the heat and how little prepared they were, the desert took pity on them. it changed them into a being partially made of cactus, a plant capable of surviving the harsh conditions. eventually, they came to the edge of the desert, and continued to wander, having finally decided that their human was no longer in the desert. they met a group of adventurers on a noble quest, and decided they'd travel with them; perhaps the adventurers could help them find their long-lost friend. (I imagine kakto and opal/flori/okulo have like, a secret plant-animal-hybrid handshake or something weird like that, haha)
