I was in the mood to paint something involving bright, neon lights at the start of November, and spent quite a bit of time doing this as a result. I think this is one of the most intricate digital paintings I've ever done, and I'm actually pretty happy with it. This was also one of the few times I tried keeping track of my progress as I was painting, so now you can see how I do things. I don't really have a strict process or anything when I paint; I just sort of have fun and change things as I go along. I also do nearly everything on just one layer and use only a few brushes, since I don't like having to constantly switch between things. This was done in Photoshop, but that's going to expire for me soon, so I'll probably have to switch to a new program for future paintings. I explain some of the painting process here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/272425014/ --------- The music is "Holy Diver" by Dio.
