BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!! I have a new program that's much easier, better looking, and it has more features but still stays simple and easy. You can try it out here -> https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/64463176/ I would highly suggest you use the newer updated version than this old one, but if some people (for some reason) like the older one it will still be left up. Thank you! Spanish Memorization Helper - 1.5 You can read this (which you probably should always do) or you can also watch a video I made at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VI46r_UeXI Thanks! -How to start- First click the green flag at the top of the program or press space, then, there are three options, "Continue", "Reset", and "Fix", The "Continue" option is if you want to use the lists of words on there already (like if your in my Spanish class), The "Reset" option is if you want to put your own words in there (like, if your in my Spanish class, if you want to do some words that you missed or still have trouble on from past weeks), The "Fix" option is if you used the "Reset" option and made a mistake, you can use this to go back and change it. -Using the "Continue" option- When you type "Continue" it should take you to something that asks you if your "el chico" or "la chica" if you know Spanish then you should know that, el chico is boy, and la chica is girl, it'll ask you whether you want to do "English to Spanish" or "Spanish to English", this means do you want it to ask you the English word and you put in the Spanish, or do you want it to ask you the Spanish word and you put in the English, It should then ask you "What is (English word)", you answer should be the Spanish word and the accent after it asks you "Where's the accent(s)?", for example- "What is What?" you would put- "como?", and then it will ask you "Where's the accent(s)?" and you would put "1 o ' " which means there's a apostrophe sign above the first o, it will only ask you if there's accents, there are some periods, exclamation points, question marks, and Spanish letters like ñ (I didn't add the accents with the lines over them like ó because it's too hard to type them so I just have it ask you where the accents are in a different way, but I added the ñ sign because it completely changes how you say the world), to get the ñ sign you can either copy and paste this (to paste you have to copy it, hold down Ctrl and press v), or, you can hold down ALT key and type 0241 on your numeric keypad (not the numbers at the top of the keyboard). -Using the "Reset" option- When you type "Reset" it will ask you "What is the English word? When your done say 'Done'.", then you will type the English word, for example- "book", then it will ask you "What is the Spanish word?", you would type "el libro". then, if it ends with "a" or "o" it will ask if you want it to be masc. (masculine (boy)) and fem. (feminine (girl)) or not, you would put either "1" (masc. and fem.) or "2" (not), masc. and fem. mean it would make that word on the boys list end with "o-a" and the word on the girls list end with "a-o", then it will ask you "Where's the accent(s)?", for "como" you would put "1 o ' " which means an apostrophe kind of symbol above the first o, if it doesn't have accents just put nothing, Now go on the the "Fix option for "Reset". -Fix option for "Reset"- When you finish typing in the words, it will ask you "Are the words correct? If not type "No". If it is type "Fine".", this means are all the words you put in correct, if you made a mistake you would type "No" and it will then ask "What is the number that the wrong word is on?", this means what number of the list, for example, if I put in "1" it would go the the first word on the list, to see what the word you made a mistake is on look next to it, it will then ask "What's the correct word? If you don't want it type nothing", this means what's the correct English word, then you would put in the Spanish, and then the accent(s), and then when your done just type "Fine" when it asks you "Are they all right? if not type "No". If they are then type "Fine".". -Using the "Fix" option- The "Fix option" is for if you reset and made a mistake but don't want to reset just to fix it, first type "Fix" and it will basically do what it does at the end of the "Reset" option that I explain above, so for the how to use "Fix" look above for the "Fix option for "Reset".".
---Versions--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Added accents. 1.5 -Added "Spanish to English" & "English to Spanish" option. - 1.4 -Added "el chico" & "la chica" option. - 1.3 -Added "Fix" option. - 1.2 -Added "Reset" option. - 1.1 -Made basic program. - 1.0 --Notes-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am taking Spanish so I wanted something to help me memorize the words, so I made this program that randomizes whatever words I put in there. (If you have any questions then leave a comment with your question and I will try to answer you as soon as I can, and make sure it gets in the instructions, also, I will be putting new Spanish words for my Spanish class every week so come and, if you want to learn Spanish, use my program and maybe in a couple years you'll almost know all the Spanish words! If you liked this, leave a comment and maybe hit that <3 button at the bottom of the program! :) thx.)
