Isaac handed Cheryl 20 dollars. "Not a word, okay?" "About what?" "Exactly." By the time she asked what he was doing, he had already jumped out the window and ran. Peaches got dressed and took a room key after her parents were asleep, and off she went. Isaac was perched on the hood of a car, his eyes glowing blue in the moonlight. "Hey, Peach," He said with a crooked smile. "Nice car." "It's not mine." "What?" "I can't even drive, I just wanted to sit down somewhere." "Mind if I join you?" "Not at all." She sat down next to him. His hand found hers. He sighed. It was quiet. There were barely even any cars driving past at this time of night. She leaned her head onto his shoulder. "You know what I wish?" He whispered. "Hm?" "I wish we didn't have to be a secret." "Me too." "I love you." He kissed the top of her head. "I love you so much. There aren't enough words for it." "I love you, too." They paused. "There's this building that used to be a supermarket, and it hasn't been bought by anyone yet, so there's this huge empty parking lot and I think it's kinda cool." "Okay," She said. Why he would want to sit in a parking lot was beyond her, but it didn't sound that bad. "You wanna go see it?" "Yeah, sure." It was a 30 minute walk, but Peaches didn't mind. Isaac looked at home in the dark, like that was where he was supposed to be. He belonged among the stars. "Here we are," He said, turning to face her. There was something alien about the whole scene; the abandoned building, the silence, the salty air, his eyes. She was in his world, now. "I can put on music, if you wanna listen to some." She took him up on his offer, and he picked a playlist he put together on his phone. They danced. She didn't have a clue what the lyrics meant -- they were, like most everything else in Felan, in Felanese -- but neither of them were really paying attention to it. "Hey, Isaac?" Isaac's eyes flickered open. Peaches was sat next to him, looking down at him with the rising sun casting an orange glow around her. "We should probably get going." "What...? Oh, yeah... Oh! Yeah, I-- What time is it?" "Six-thirty A.M." He had to be at school in an hour. "Oh, geez... Bye, Peach, sorry about... Whatever this was." "Aw, don't apologize, I had fun." "Okay." She kissed him, and they went on their ways. author's note: oof uhh here it is! I know I'm still not gr8 at posting updates regularly but I'm trying ;v;
